DIVE TRIPS

H20 Sportz at Hamilton Island offers a free introductory resort dive course for people wanting to discover the depths of the Great Barrier Reef. Famous students over the years have included Christie Brinkley, Sam Neil and Buz Aldren.

H2O Sportz operates daily tours to Bait Reef and Black Reef where guests can dive or snorkel to see giant clams, mantarays, moray eels, turtles, coral and large schools of tropical fish. Avid snorkellers can take advantage of a half-day snorkelling safari tour to nearby coral gardens.

FISHING FUN

The Whitsunday Islands are an angler’s paradise – and the waters around Hamilton Island are a perfect fishing spot for reef fishing as well as deep-sea game fishing.

Shared or private charters can be arranged for either a half-day or a full-day. Experienced skippers and crew will even do the dirty work of scaling and gutting your fish so it is ready for you to take to your favourite Hamilton Island restaurant for cooking (fee applies).

All bait and equipment is provided along with a crew of experts with local knowledge of the area’s top spots.

Guests can hire a dinghy with the freedom of embarking on exciting marine adventures like fossicking along deserted beaches, fishing, snorkelling over coral reefs or visiting nearby islands. Party pontoons are also available and can seat up to 10 people.
